PA Sangma International Medical College & Hospital (PIMC), in collaboration with Department of Zoology, USTM, successfully organized a Free Mega Health Camp on 24-04-2025 in Rangsakona village, aiming to provide free medical services and raise awareness about common health issues in the community. The event attracted a significant 30 number of participants, especially from underserved areas, who benefitted from various health services offered throughout the day.
- Free Health Services Provided:
Medical Consultations: General physicians and other specialists were available to provide free consultations.
Health Screenings: Services included free blood pressure checks, blood sugar tests and general health assessments.
Free distribution of medicines (where applicable)
- Health Awareness Programs:
Workshops were conducted to educate attendees on maintaining healthy lifestyles, the importance of regular check-ups, mental health awareness, and basic hygiene practices. Sessions on maternal and child health were particularly well-received by the local population. - Community Participation:
The camp saw participation from over 30 number local residents. Many families took advantage of the free health services, with particular focus on elderly individuals, children, and those with chronic conditions. - Collaborative Support:
The success of the camp was made possible through the collaborative efforts of: Department of Zoology, USTM For offering dispensing services and Patients counselling support.

The success of this health camp underscores the significant health needs of the community. PIMC and Department of Zoology, USTM and Rangsakona Village plan to hold more such events in the future, expanding their outreach and covering additional healthcare services.
